The beauty of beach trips is that they're inherently low-maintenance. You'll spend most of your time in a swimsuit or very casual clothes. The temptation is to overpack on "nice" outfits for evenings — resist it. Most beach destinations are casual even at dinner.
The real priorities: sun protection, swimwear, and footwear that handles sand. Everything else is secondary.
Sun Protection: Don't Underpack This
Sunscreen is the one area where you don't want to be caught short. A sunburn on day one can ruin an entire trip.
